What classes are functioning in Countryside International school?
Countryside International School is functional from nursery to grade 12th and has all the 3 streams in higher secondary i.e. Science, Commerce and Humanities
How many students will have in every section and how many sections do you plan to have?
In the Pre Primary Section we have minimum 32 students in each class
In the Primary and secondary Section we have minimum 40 students in each class and 4 sections each Grade namely Honesty, Truth, Courage and Freedom.
What is the Vision of the School?
Our school will explore the vision ‘Educating Children to Live Better Life.’
What is the Mission of the School?
The mission of our school is ‘To inspire our students to respect wisdom, preserve traditions and understand the right use of technology.’

Operational Areas : Transport, Fees, Food, Timings

Will the school provide transport in all areas of the city?
No, we have our specific pick points area wise with the route planning, no door service is provided. The transport charges are not included in annual fees charges.
Is the transportation compulsory?
To avoid the inconveniences caused because of private transport services, Yes, we have our own planning as per the transportation area. Only in special cases like if your residence is outside that area or medical reason, only in such specific cases the children are allowed to have their own transport to reach the school.
Can I choose two different points for my ward to be picked and dropped?
The pick-up point and the drop-point will remain the same and you cannot opt for two different points for your ward.
Can I change the pick-up and drop point for my ward?
In case you wish to change the same due to address change, you are required to submit an application of address change, well in advance, to get the new route for your ward. Temporary changes are not entertained due to pre-determined routes and fixed occupancy in each bus.
How is transportation charge calculated?
Transportation charges are calculated as per the kilometers and the rates fixed by the management for the same.
Will there be a hike in the transportation charges?
Yes, it may increase from time to time, subject to the decision by the management.
What is the holiday schedule?
We observe all the national holidays and the holidays recommended by the State Government. Diwali vacation for nearly 3 weeks. Summer vacation starts from May first week till June first week.
What system of assessment does your school follow?
The school follows continuous Assessments and enrichment learning systems prescribed by CBSE and align with the directives given by CBSE. The school focuses on the holistic development of the child and focuses on various life skills.
I am looking for admission in class which you don’t have vacancy. What should I do?
We have 40 admissions in each section, if applicants exceeds above this then we may consider the same for waiting; which means that in case of any availability of seats due to the transfer of students/ parents, the same will be considered as per the waitlist. We would recommend you to fill the enquiry form so that your application will be allotted waiting number and you will be given a call as the case may be for the admission.
Does your school provide the food in school?
Yes, we do provide food in our school for Grade Nur to Grade 10.
Does your school have dining area?
Yes, our School has a spacious dining area with adequate seating arrangements.
What is the timings for brunch in the school?
The brunch timings are as under:
Pre-primary & Grade 11- 12 9:50am to 10:25 am
Grades from 1st - 4th 11:35am to 12:10 pm
Grades from 5th- 7th 10:25am to 11:00 am
Grades from 8th-10th 11:00 am to 11:35 am
Will there be increase in fees?
Yearly the fees structure can increase from 2-10% depending on the management decision approved by FRC, Surat. In case, if child is shifting from pre-primary to primary and for higher grades the fees structure increases as specified in the fees structure.
What are the age criteria for admission?
Nursery - Above 3 years less than 4 years
Jr. K.G. - Above 4 years less than 5 years
Sr. K.G. - Above 5 years less than 6 years
Class 1 - Above 6 years less than 7 years
What are the school timings? Will the school timings change over the years?
School works for 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday and Few Saturdays are scheduled for the PTMs. The timing for the classes is as follows:. The timing for the classes is as follows:
Pre-primary 8:20am to 12:20 pm
Grades from 1st -5th
9:20am to 2:30 pm
Grades from 6th-10th 7:20 am to 1:20 pm
Grades from 11th-12th Science 8:20 am to 12:20 pm
Grade 11 & 12 Commerce & Humanities 7:20 am to 1:20 pm

Do you have parents’ teachers meeting? How often?

Do you have parents’ teachers meeting? How often?
We have scheduled PTM- Parent Teachers Meetings on Saturdays, where the parents can discuss about their ward’s development and progress with their Teachers.
We have Special PDPs [Parent Development Programmes] on allotted days and workshops for parents and grandparents, which is conducted as mentioned in the Annual Planner in the student Almanac.
Apart from this the parents who have specific concerns are free to meet Vice Principal, Head Mistress/ Master/ HOD or with Principal of the school with prior intimation.
What sort of parent involvement do you expect? Does the school give homework?
Parents play an important role in supporting the School system. Home assignments/ worksheets are a method to reinforce the acquired knowledge and even provide the child with regularity in practicing what he/she has learned.
Homework, syllabus and exam schedule are uploaded on application of our school and we want our parents to be updated about the activities and syllabus pattern.
Details of the same can be collected after the admission.
Do you have any co-curriculum and extra curriculum activities during the school hours?
At countryside, we integrate wide range of activities within our overall educational program. The activities like Music, Art, Dance, Sports, Wellness, Gymnastics, Skating, Karate, Robotics, are undertaken. The Learning Planets Zone is very useful for our students from Nursery to Grade 2. Life skills are conducted from Grade 3 onwards.
Students can develop their overall moral, motor, emotional and mental skills.
Duration of each period is 35 minutes.
Club periods are arranged in most possible ways to reduce the bag-burden.
Saturdays is a burden less day and the focus is on are burden less education which caters to various learning planets activities and Life skills.
These Life skills are subjective to the various age groups and different skills are acquired in each grade.
We also have activities which are catered during games period which are as follows:
Sports (indoor and outdoor) Football, Cricket, Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Carrom, Chess, Hand Ball, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho and Basketball
Dance: Folk, contemporary, hip-hop, Indian, western dances
Music: Music has electives between Vocal and Instrumental.
Instruments like Keyboard, Guitar, Tabla Octopad, Congo, Drum and Harmonium are available for students to learn.
Is help provided to the students who are fresh for the particular sports?
We have our sports coaches who are responsible, expert and trained to guide the students in particular sport activity.
How would be educational tours organised?
The educational tour and excursion will be organised to make aware the child about our nature, cultural, historical and heritages. There can be tours related to their educational development and field trips depending on their grades
Are there any extra efforts taken for the “slow learners”?
Our school is an inclusive school which takes special attention towards child’s developmental skills in the main stream class rooms, wherever needed we have inculcated parallel teaching to accommodate the lazy learners

Infirmary

What if any child needs any medical emergency?
Campus houses an infirmary, a medical unit for primary medical aid. We have our medical counselor in school. The child will be taken to Trust owned multi specialty hospital BAPS if needed. The parent will be informed by calls and only after their permission the medical treatment will be given to the child.

Every year the School opens its admissions for the up-coming academic year on the auspicious day of Dussehra.
